Every clinician Photon Medical Group employs is fully credentialed, license-verified, and compliance-reviewed before their first assignment. This page explains exactly how that process works and what we require.
Photon Medical Group takes a compliance-first approach to clinical staffing. We do not place clinicians in assignments until their credentials are verified, their documentation is complete, and they are cleared for the specific site and program.
All licenses are verified directly through the appropriate state licensing authority prior to placement. We confirm license type, expiration, and standing in real time.
Each clinician undergoes a compliance review that includes background screening, OIG exclusion check, and review of any state or federal sanctions prior to beginning any assignment.
We confirm that every clinician is clinically ready for their specific assignment β including site-specific orientation, protocol review, and any program-specific training required before day one.
We maintain credentials files for all clinicians we employ, including immunization records, certifications, background checks, and compliance documentation throughout the assignment.
Credential monitoring doesn't stop at onboarding. We track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and health clearances, and proactively notify clinicians when renewals are due.
As a physician-owned practice, we maintain appropriate medical oversight structures for NPs and other mid-level providers, including collaborative agreements where required.
From application to first shift, this is every step in our credentialing and onboarding process. Our team guides you through each stage.
Submit your resume and application through our website or via email. Include your license number, discipline, and availability so we can match you to relevant openings quickly.
Our recruiting team contacts you within one business day to discuss your background, available assignments, and rates. We explain exactly what the credentialing process will require for your specific role.
We verify your state license through the appropriate licensing authority, confirm active status and good standing, run a background check, and complete an OIG/SAM exclusion check.
You submit required credentialing documents β immunizations, certifications, ID, health clearances. We provide a complete checklist and follow up on any missing items.
Each assignment site may have additional requirements. We brief you on any site-specific protocols, orientation requirements, or additional clearances before your start date.
Once cleared, you receive a formal offer with all assignment details. Credentialing is complete. You're ready for your first shift.
The documents listed below are required for most assignments. Exact requirements may vary by role and site β our recruiting team will provide a complete, role-specific checklist when you start the process.
As a physician-owned clinical practice, Photon Medical Group provides the medical oversight framework required for the professionals we employ. Here is how that works in practice.
Photon Medical Group functions as the employing medical practice for the clinicians we place. This means we are responsible for ensuring that every professional we deploy has the appropriate license, credentials, oversight structure, and compliance clearances for their specific assignment.
For nurse practitioners, we maintain appropriate collaborative physician arrangements where required, ensuring NPs have defined medical oversight and support throughout their assignments. NPs working with Photon are not operating independently β they work within a structured clinical employer model with physician direction available.
For RNs, LPNs, MAs, and allied health professionals, we ensure that every placement is at a site with appropriate on-site supervision structures and that each clinician's scope of practice matches their license, training, and assignment requirements.
We do not place clinicians in assignments where oversight, scope, or safety requirements cannot be properly met. Clinical readiness is a prerequisite for every assignment we make.
We track expiration dates for all licenses and certifications we hold on file. Clinicians receive advance notice when renewals are due to avoid any gap in assignment eligibility.
Any clinical incident, complaint, or safety concern during an assignment is managed directly by our clinical coordination team in accordance with site protocols and applicable reporting requirements.
For clinicians on ongoing or long-term assignments, we conduct periodic re-credentialing to ensure all documents, licenses, and health clearances remain current and valid.
We review every assignment against the clinician's license type, training, and experience. We do not place clinicians in roles that exceed or conflict with their scope of practice.
Contact our recruiting team and we'll send you a complete, role-specific document checklist and walk you through every step of the process.
